The 2010 WARRIOR CUP CHAMPIONS!

Reebok Nationals Join Forces with The Goalie Club
for Spring/Summer Development plan.

The Reebok Nationals are proud to announce the addition of Des Christopher of “The Goalie Club” to their staff. Christopher, along with his talented staff including Jeff Casper & Mike Moline, will work with the goalies of all levels throughout the season for their development at this specialized position. The addition of Christopher & The Goalie Club further exemplifies the Nationals commitment to providing the Best Development Training for all of their players.

Members of The Goalie Club will be present at 8 practices with each team throughout the season. During these practices, all goalies will get an opportunity for one on one training with a member of The Goalie Club, who will not only focus on technique, positioning, and movements, but also help goalies understand the game in our game situation training curriculum. Since 2002, Christopher has built his program on the principles that to be a successful goaltender, one must understand the game. By teaching the “why” as well as the “how” of each technique, goaltenders become more confident in their technical game as they progress in their strategic understanding of the game.

With this addition, the Reebok Nationals program continues to set the bar as the Top AAA Development Program in the country. Attracting players from all across America, The Nationals Program fields teams at the 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995, U 12 Girls, U 14 Girls, and U 16 Girls.  With over 100 hours of collective ice all geared towards player development within this spring/summer season; the Reebok Nationals continue to push the envelope in player development, as they look to make every individual player a better player individually.

This is the fundamental question for you; the Veteran and Prospective Reebok Nationals Player. We want to know if our players have what it takes to separate themselves from the rest. Do you have the will to learn? The drive to improve? The heart to compete?

For several years Northern Edge has watched other coaches design AAA programs and we generally don’t like what we see - so we decided to do it better! We have spent a few years consulting parents, players and coaches at every level and we feel we have the recipe to succeed. We have hired the industry’s best coaches to write the curriculum and help teach the players. Most of all, we are bringing a passion to make each and every individual player a better player individually.

Families can expect an affordable, professionally run AAA program with one thing in mind: granting the true AAA player the opportunity to train like he/she should. Our coaches and advisory committee comprise hockey people who have succeeded in every imaginable way: NHL players, NHL coaches, Gold Medals, Stanley Cups and College Scholarships. We know how to teach, we know how to coach and we know how to train. Most of all, it is our mandate as coaches to connect the dots for you as a hockey family...to show you how to succeed in this game and to show you what to expect at the next level of hockey. To understand some of our teaching methods, please click on the link below to watch our newest four minute video which demonstrates only a small portion of our teaching methods - all designed to give each player the necessary tools to reach the next level.

Our curriculum is tough but you will be tougher as a result of your experience with us.

We demand the most out of our players: attendance at all practices/tournaments/training/teaching sessions is requested. We would expect each player to attend most team training sessions. Obviously, we understand families occasionally have conflicts, but if the intent of the player or family is not to attend every team event then this program may not be for you. The heart and soul of this program is in the practices, where the majority of your players development takes place.

Respect for the teams, coaches, parents, opponents, referees and the facilities we are guests of is compulsory. Ultimately, this attitude starts at the top and will get you to the top. If you can’t handle intensity and being pushed to be your best, this isn’t the right place for you. Secondly, if you aren’t playing at the highest level in your area, the speed and skill for this specific program is not suitable to your development: we have players coming from all over America to play on these teams and the competition for roster spots will be fierce.
